Physical and Chemical Properties
Sodium hypochlorite is a compound produced by the reaction of chlorine and sodium hydroxide. It is a strong oxidant and has excellent bactericidal, disinfecting and bleaching capabilities. Due to its strong oxidizing property and extensive bactericidal effect, sodium hypochlorite is widely used in multiple fields such as industry, households and medical care.
Application of sodium hypochlorite
Bleaching: It is used in the textile, pulp and food industries for bleaching operations and can effectively remove dirt and pigments.
Disinfection: As a disinfectant, sodium hypochlorite can effectively kill a variety of bacteria and viruses and is widely used in water treatment, household cleaning and disinfection of medical devices. Deodorization: Sodium hypochlorite has deodorizing properties.
Water treatment: During the wastewater treatment process, sodium hypochlorite is used as a disinfectant and has been applied to treat low-purity cyanide wastewater, such as electroplating wastewater.
Agriculture: It is used for soil disinfection and plant protection, as well as for preventing pests and diseases.
Storage and transportation
The packaging should be intact at the time of shipment and the loading should be stable. During transportation, it is necessary to ensure that the containers do not leak, collapse, fall or get damaged. It is strictly prohibited to mix and transport with acids, edible chemicals, etc. When transporting, the transport vehicles should be equipped with emergency leakage treatment equipment, protected from exposure to sunlight, rain and high temperatures. When transporting by road, follow the prescribed routes and do not stop in residential areas or densely populated areas.
